What would Elder Draper do?

Hey there mom!

I can't wait for conference! Make sure to watch all the sessions, even if you do cry! ya we will watch them next Saturday and Sunday. My last one in Japan. Wow.

I found a bunch of obsidian the other day so I picked up a ton of it to make arrow heads haha. I showed elder Yoshikawa how to do it. Elder Riggs thought I was so weird when I told him how I always had random rocks and stuff in my pockets at home. But then I came home one day and he had this little random thing and he said, "I saw this on the ground! I thought to myself, 'what would Elder Draper do?' And so I picked it up and put it in my pocket!" Hahahahaha.

Brother Tsunoda has stopped coffee and alcohol! We haven't taught the word of wisdom yet but he was able to quit! He said he still gets tempted though so he asked me how he can get rid of the temptations. I shared with him 1 Nephi 15:24 and he loved that. He said he had so many temptations one day and then he remembered that scripture, so he pulled out his Book of Mormon and started reading and all the temptation just went away!

Last Tuesday we had a lesson with Brother Tsunoda about the plan of salvation. He is a masseuse so he brought his massage table and gave us about a 10 minute massage each after the lesson! It was awesome!

Next week we will be starting a new and better English class! I'm pretty excited! We have already found a lot of people who want to come! It’s happening all throughout Japan. A really good report was found even in a really famous Japanese magazine! So to advertise it, we went to an eki and carried around whiteboards with a couple of English questions on it and stopped people and asked them to answer them. Then we handed them a flyer and told them about it! We found a couple people that said they would come!

We also had a new member move into the ward! He is from the Philippines! He is awesome! His name is Paul. He was free all Sunday so he went to the eki with us and passed out flyers! I felt like I got a little taste of what Tanner is experiencing! Filipinos are so nice!  This next week we have interviews, zone conference, zone meeting, and Saturday and Sunday is general conference. IT should be pretty exciting!

I love you all so much!
